We Don’t Just Cultivate Grapes, We Cultivate Life

Across nearly a hectare of vineyard, we nurture a vibrant living landscape that thrives with diversity, balance, and life. Biodiversity is at the heart of everything we do, and our vineyard is where nature and agriculture exist in harmony.

With a Shannon-Wiener Biodiversity Index score of 2.5, our land supports a rich and balanced variety of wildlife, from native birds and beneficial insects to cover crops and hedgerows that thrive between the vines.

  • 43 grape varietals grow side by side across 3,500 vines, celebrating the richness and complexity of the vine world.

  • 220 trees of 90 different species weave a dynamic tapestry around and within the vineyard, offering shade, habitat, and beauty.

  • Wildflowers, clover, alfalfa, and grasses blanket the soil year-round, protecting and nourishing it naturally — no bare ground, no chemicals, just life.

  • Bees pollinate, bats and birds patrol the skies.

  • Earthworms and ants aerate and enrich the soil.

  • Lizards and beneficial insects complete the web of life.

 What Is The Shannon-Wiener Index?

It’s a scientific measure of biodiversity that looks at both the number of species (richness) and how evenly they’re distributed (evenness). Higher values mean more ecological balance. Our score (2.5 of 5; most monoculture vinards score 0) reflects a vibrant, healthy environment essential for sustainable viticulture and expressive wines.

By encouraging a diverse, living landscape, we not only produce wines with true character, but we also protect the land for generations to come.
